The project involves the external and internal (corridors, landings, lift lobbies, lobby entrance halls, staircases, stairwells) redecoration of 5 x blocks, and renewal of aluminium windows to 54 Flats (leasehold and tenanted) low & mid-rise occupied rise flats.
Pre-decoration repairs inc; The replacement of existing metal (aluminum) windows (1 x block only) and replacement with SAPPA aluminum window system, brick work repointing (inc.’Helibar’), render, timber joinery and resin repairs, render repairs, metal work repairs,, renewal of pigeon nettings, PVCU window overhauls (to 4 x blocks) inc. replacement of faulty double glazed sealed units, removal / reinstatement of aerial and satellite systems.
The specified decorative coating suppliers were Sika (external render areas), Akzo Nobel with the specification inc. ‘Dulux Weathershield System’ and ‘Dulux Metal Shield’ for external works and ‘Tor Coatings’ (fire retardant Paint Systems) achieving fire rating Class O) to internal communal works.
The works were accessed via full independent scaffold and powered cradles as applicable to the property design / type and current ‘Working at Height Regulations 2005’.
This project was completed on programme, within budget, with zero (RIDDOR) reportable injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences and returned KPI satisfaction scores in excess of 98%.
